Medical & Dietary Needs
Be advised that we are doing our best to provide a "nut free" environment for those that have allergies. Please take that into consideration when you send snacks with your child or send a care package.
Medical Coverage
Medications
ALL MEDICINES—including non-prescription—MUST BE SENT IN THE ORIGINAL CONTAINER!!! • Over the counter medications are fully stocked in the nurses' station. You do not need to send Benadryl, Advil, Tylenol, or other common over the counter medications with your child. • NWYC medical staff will not allow youth to take any meds in a manner different than the medicine container or prescription instructs. All meds will be dispensed by medical staff. State law requires that all meds be kept in the infirmary. Minors will not be allowed to keep meds, except an EpiPen with nurse approval.
Screening and Approval
Screening and approval by your sponsor church’s Youth or Children’s Ministry program is required by law for all counselors and staff before acceptance. All screenings will be verified by the applicant’s local church leadership (elders, ministers) or by the local church’s Children’s Ministry leader.
$510 FEE for each counselor/staff must be paid in advance. Please talk with your Home church staff to discuss reimbursement rates for your service.
CANCELLATIONS If there is any reason why you are unable to attend NWYC, please submit a written cancellation request to Becky Meadows at beckym@seattle.org Any denied applications, e.g. if needs have already been filled, will be fully refunded.
